Dear friends of ZuckerBäckerball,
Due to the current situation, the ZuckerBäckerball committee of the sugar bakery ball has made the decision to postpone the 120th ZuckerBäckerball. It was originally scheduled for 14 January 2021 and is now planned to be held on 13 January 2022.
As you might have followed in the media, practically every large ball has been called off by now.
Apart from the fact that we of course care very much for the health of our ball guests, also partners, sponsors, supporters, and employees are in our focus. A strict Covid-19 prevention concept would steal the ball of its joie de vivre.
No dancing, curfew at 1 a.m., no strolling but a requirement to sit down, a drastic reduction
of guests, no midnight quadrille, no balloon rains, no delicacies, in short - anything fun would be restricted.
In addition, preparations would have to be made now, which seems impossible due to the current restrictions. As nobody can estimate the further development we have no planning security.
But we look into the future with hope and confidence and assure that with your support we can continue our over-100-year-old ball tradition in January 2022.
