For the 13the time the ZuckerBäcker Ball awarded the coveted titles of "Vienna Cakemaster 2023" and for apprentices "Vienna Junior Cakemaster 2023".
Confectioners and apprentices had the opportunity to present themselves to a wide international audience and to put themselves and their delicious craft in the spotlight. The motto was “Plants and Flowers”.
In addition to atmospheric dancing, the 120th ZuckerBäckerball offers a colorful potpourri of entertaining programme highlights - as well as numerous cakes and sweet temptations for the 3,000 visitors.

Every year since 2009, a pastry chef has made a cake for a well-known celebrity. The presentation of this sweet work of art takes place at midnight of the ball and is one of the highlights of the ZuckerBäckerball.
At the ceremonial press conference of "Ballmutti," vice-honorary consul Prof. Birgit Sarata, it was announced today that: the celebrity cake will go to the Austrian violinist Yury Revich in 2023. He will also deliver a violin performance at the ball.
The "Vereinigung Wiener Staatsopernballett" will be for the sixth time in a row a glittering part of the ceremonial opening of the 120th ZuckerBäckerball with a lively waltz.
Supported by eight other groups of couples, the solo dancers Irina Tsymbal and Mihail Sosnovschi will dance to a cheerful classical waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn with the choreography by Lukas Gaudernak.
It is one of the highlights of the ball night: The ceremonial opening of the ZuckerBäckerball with the entrance and the dance performance of the young ladies and gentlemen in black and white. Registrations for participations are open now.

Due to the current situation the ball committee has made the decision to change the date of the ball night of the 120th ZuckerBäckerball from 14 January 2021 to 13 January 2022.
